It took me three years to finish it because first it had more neon colors and my dad and his wife liked it and hung it on their wall for a year or so. I never felt like it was ready though, so in 2024 I took it back to my easel and went crazy with my current favorite painting color: neon pink. And suddenly it clicked! Now I’m obsessed with it! The pink has "censored" the other neon colors, but only a little bit ;) The title came from a feeling that I have, that I'm censoring myself a little bit all the time, but I want the real stuff shine through.
