The painting looked very different a couple of years ago, but in 2024 I’ve had a phase where I’ve painted over a lot of old works that didn’t resonate with me anymore. I’ve changed a bit over 2021-2023 having two kids, and I felt like I needed a fresh start after maternity leaves. This painting is a good example for me to remember not to be afraid. It had much more details and shapes earlier, but the more I simplified it, the better it got. In the end I painted over almost the entire painting and I love it this way! Simple abstract painting yet very strong eye catcher piece of art!
