The first painting from my new innovation "A Piece of my Space" -series.

I protect my atelier floors and tables with large high-quality canvases and paint most of my other work splashing paint on them. These protective canvases pick up all splashes and drips, also working as mixing pallets and brush cleaning cloths. This ensures that no paint is going to waste and as little as possible will be washed to the sewer. All paints in these beauties are leftovers from other paintings!

These paintings are thoughtful accidents. I plan where to paint with different colors and where to clean which brush to make beautiful, very different Pieces of her Space. Most of the shapes emerge naturally as I work on top of the canvas for a few months.
