Solo exhibition in Galleria Saima ‘On The Road’ on Liisankatu 11 A 2, Helsinki

Open every Saturday and Sunday 12-4 pm for 4 weekends November 13th - December 5th

All the paintings are new. I have painted these during late pregnancy/maternity leave with our little baby girl Luna.

The Finnish word for months is ‘kuukausia’, which when divided into ‘kuu kausia’ means literally moon seasons. This exhibition is a combination of these months, different seasons with the belly and then the new life born during a solar eclipse right at the time when the moon came over the sun in Finland this summer. She has been with me this whole time, at least in my thoughts if not physically with me at the studio.

The seasons word also represents my style; I can’t (at least at the moment) paint with one consistent style. I need change, seasons, with different styles, colors and techniques. That’s what keeps me going and creating interesting art.

I couldn’t imagine a better name to represent this show!
